At Exacaster we impact the lives of over 40 million consumers on a daily basis by working with clients in the Baltics, USA, Central and South America and the Caribbean. Overall, we operate one of the largest big-data environments in the Baltics, and we certainly have one of the most diverse sets of data and pursue some of the most challenging analytical projects.
Exacaster’s team is looking for a Analytics Engineer to join our Kolibris team.
About the role:Â
We’re looking for a curious and driven Analytics Engineer to help us tackle complex data challenges, move fast, and bring clarity to ambiguity. If you’re someone who enjoys deep-diving into systems, figuring things out from scratch, and transforming raw data into clean, usable structures—this role is for you.
Who should apply:
We don’t expect you to know everything on day one. What matters most is your attitude, adaptability, flexibility, and analytical thinking – those are the qualities that set people up for success in this role.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Build and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Python, DBT, SQL and modern orchestration tools.
- Engineer solutions to automate data ingestion, transformation, and integration from APIs and other sources.
- Deep-dive into complex systems and existing pipelines, identifying issues and redesigning where needed.
- Contribute to the evolution of our data infrastructure with best practices in CI/CD, testing, and code versioning.
- Be a proactive problem-solver in a fast-changing environment—rapidly investigating anomalies, tracing root causes, and implementing fixes.
- Document pipelines, schemas, and key logic for transparency and reproducibility.
- Take ownership of your work and be able to present your ideas and solutions directly to the clients, often shaping the solution by yourself from early discovery to delivery.
We are looking for a person who has:
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
- Solid Python skills
- Strong SQL proficiency (including performance tuning and schema design).
- Experience with DBT, Alembic, and working with RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred: S3, RDS, Redshift).
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines.
- Analytical mindset: you enjoy understanding how systems work, how numbers appear, and you like improving them.
- Fast learner and comfortable working in areas with some unknowns.
- Clear communication in English with both technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have things:
- Experience supporting or shaping data for BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Exposure to monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Zabbix).
- Some knowledge of frontend technologies (React, scripting) is a bonus but not mandatory.
- Experience in consulting or working closely with clients on data-heavy projects.
We promise:
- Monthly salary for this position from 2919 EUR – 4159 EUR gross for a full time role.
- Participation in the company’s stock options program.
- Flexible Benefits & Personal learning budget.
- 10 Growth Days per year – dedicated time for learning and development.
- Ownership and dynamics in your role.
- Hybrid work environment with preferably at least 1 day per week in the office.
- All the support you need from our experienced team to become an even better professional.
- And the most important thing – you will be part of a great international team!
